I've Got Another Level That I Want To Clear
I'm really starting to get worried about the lack of responses I've been getting. We sent out well over 100 invitations; I think we've gotten about 40 back. I put postage on the response card so all people had to do was mark an X and drop it in the mail; I'm really beginning to worry that not all of my invitations got to where they're supposed to go. We're going to have to start making phone calls soon.

Please, even if you think I know you're coming, or even if you think I know you're not coming, could you send your response cards back? I think I need to give the reception hall a final head count like next week. And I need finalize the seating arrangements and everything. It would make my life so much easier. <3

What day did you put for your rsvp?

I started calling emailing/people the day after my rsvp date passed, because I didn't even get half of mine back on time either. So you shouldn't be too worried, but at the same time calling and emailing is DEFINITELY the right choice to do!

This upcoming Friday. I hope we get a flood of responses this week, but we only got one back on Monday, which is why I was sort of freaking out yesterday. But then last night we got like five.

We did the same thing - and the same thing happend. Out of all the invitations we sent (60) we got back 25 responses. Prepaid envelopes and all. I don't know why people couldn't even be bothered to x the box and send it back, but they couldn't. :(

OMG that's not even half! I'm never the first person to send responses back but I don't think I've ever missed one. I have to believe that at least some of the responses got lost in the mail...

Next question: out of everyone who RSVPed that they WOULD come, about how many showed up?

Yeah, not getting back responses is pretty typical. Don't think you're the only one it happens to ^_^ People just suck lots ;)

I just...I can't even imagine. I read while I was doing these that response cards are actually a bit of an etiquette breach, because you're supposed to trust your guests to do the right thing and call/write you to reply on their own. HA! Can you imagine?

If you don't get all of them back after the deadline, I'd get your "bridesmaids/mom/whoever can help" together and do a call storm to check on people who haven't responded. There is always the possibility that an invite/response or two was lost on the mail as well.

Yeah, I think that's what we're going to end up doing Saturday afternoon. Mom can't help me because she still can't talk so well, and three of my five bridesmaids are out-of-towners, but maybe between the other two and I we can hit everybody on my list.

For the last two weddings I went to recently, one of my friends kept reminding me to send it back and I still just barely made it within the RSVP date. I've got yours sitting right here on my computer desk, filled out and sealed up. I just never remember to take it with me when I'm going out. >_

And you so wedding-conscious! I guess you get all caught up in the flowers-dresses-showers (never mind everything else MY wedding has thrown at me!) that the little stuff falls by the wayside.

Also, I don't know how long it takes to drive down and up, but I think we only have the limos for three hours. (Of course, that's like two and a half hours longer than we actually need them, but we wanted to err on the side of caution.)

Yeah, I didn't send anyone who answered that they knew they couldn't make it to this poll (or who didn't vote one way or the other) an invite, BUT I do have a few left over if you just want a souvenir! I would've loved to have had you there, but I know how far away you are. <3
