All The Pimping Sons Of Plunder Will Roll Up Their Sleeves
Apartment progress:

I'd like to say we're all done, considering Marvel is moving his stuff in on Friday, but I'd be lying. :) All of the major stuff is done. There's a lot of cleaning to be done--scrubbing the bathroom sink so I can put the bathroom accessories in place finally, cleaning the kitchen cabinets of the sawdust left over from installation, getting the paint splotches up off of the kitchen floor, that sort of thing. Small finishing work, too, like putting the outlet plates back on in the bathroom, and plugging in the refrigerator, and trimming down some of the doors.

But the major stuff is done; we have a full kitchen, with a working sink and stove and fridge. We have carpeting, which makes the place look completely different. We have a bed, although I'm trying not to buy any more furniture until we get all of our stuff in so I can see what we need that we don't have at all, versus what I'd like to replace, versus whether we have room for any of this stuff after Marvel's comic boxes make themselves at home. (I wonder if we can fashion a coffee table out of them?)

I'd prefer not to share pictures until we have more done; while I see a big difference in the place versus when we started, it's not finished, and a photo of a bare living room won't interest you, a photo of my bedding will annoy me (because it's missing ONE PIECE! which while not physically essential, is like The Dude's rug in that it ties the whole set together), and the kitchen is still a mess, but I'd just like to mention what I've been doing with me time, in between meeting with the reception hall people, calling the D.J., paying the limo people, ordering place cards, dry cleaning the drapes...

I don't know if this would work for you, but here's what we did with Barry's comic boxes.

Since they're all single issues/stuff he doesn't get into often, we put them behind bookcases. We stacked them up into a single row (it looks like a wall of Cboxes turned to the side), then put two bookcases in front of them. It made the room look smaller, and we had this odd nook at the end (now filled with more comic boxes. ugh.) but it wasn't the eyesore that having stacks of would cause. It also gave us a big flat-ish space on top to put his oversized board games.

Before I had some friends donate a coffee table to me, I used this big, purple, plastic trunk as a coffee table for years. And as I could store stuff in it (game console accessories and random internet cables), it made it very useful. So I highly recommend boxes as a coffee table :P

I'm so excited for your wedding, but I bet it's a crap ton of work.
